This unique nest  of 3 side tables is a collaboration between a furniture studio and a graphic artist. The outcome was the Ekster (magpie) series. Shiny objects as a contrast to restored antique used products. Each piece in the Ekster series has one or more components replaced by a cast aluminium replica. With turned legs and a mix of black stained wood and shiny metal, the outcome is an interesting contrast. They investigated the effect of adding shiny parts to an object to increase the attractive value by using the same materials and techniques.
